Thesis
A field product should not feel like a mini desktop dashboard. It should behave like a sequence of crisp decisions with durable state feedback.
The mobile experience needed to feel useful in motion: readable under pressure, forgiving of messy inputs, and clear enough for team leads to trust.
Constraints
Design for one-handed use, poor connectivity, and interrupted sessions.
Make status, assignment, and evidence capture clear without using tiny dense controls.
Keep the visual system premium but practical for repeated daily use.
Product and brand direction
01
Large touch targets, compact status grammar, and clear screen hierarchy make each task feel finishable.
02
A soft-charcoal and paper palette keeps work surfaces calm while blue state color carries operational meaning.
03
Offline, error, success, and empty states are part of the designed product language.
Key decisions
01
Collapsed scattered task lists into a daily route with three durable states: queued, active, and resolved.
02
Designed mobile cards as work surfaces rather than decorative containers.
03
Created capture flows that save partial progress and explain failed syncs without punishing the user.
Outcome without invented metrics
01
A mobile case study that shows product judgment beyond static screens.
02
A state-rich prototype suitable for founder review, engineering planning, and investor demos.
03
A reusable mobile design grammar for operational products.
